The wireless mesh at ShadowTree consists of 6 powerful access points configured to work together. The beauty of the design is that if one access point were to go offline the network is setup to redirect traffic to another access point. This way the network can never truly go down entirely. This fail-safe ensures maximum uptime, so that the residents at ShadowTree can enjoy a flawless wireless connection.

The most important elements in the network at ShadowTree is the bandwidth management, remote management and captive portal. The captive portal is a login page that asks for a username and password (see gallery). Every resident at ShadowTree is supplied with a username and password. This keeps non-residents out and gives residents an easy way to access the web. The remote management allows us to monitor the site 24x7x365, so if there is a problem we can fix the issue quickly.
